Tips For Sanitizing Your Office Before Going Back to Work

Although we suggest hiring a professional maintenance company to perform these services to ensure it is done thoroughly, below are some guidelines that should be followed.

  • Follow label instructions for cleaning frequently touched surfaces, or touchpoints (i.e., tables, doorknobs, light switches, handles, desks, toilets, faucets, sinks, etc.) and only use EPA-registered disinfectants that are appropriate for each given surface and the specific task.

  • Before cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, be sure to put on disposable gloves and make sure the gloves are discarded afterward.

  • If surfaces are dirty, they should be cleaned using a detergent or soap and water before disinfection.

  • Keep towels used for disinfection separate from other cleaning towels.

  • Place soiled towels in the laundry to be cleaned and remember to wear disposable gloves when handling dirty laundry.

  • If possible, do not shake dirty laundry, which will minimize the possibility of dispersing the virus through an air mask.

  • Launder items as appropriate in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. If possible, launder items using the warmest appropriate water setting for the items and dry all items completely.

  • Wash hands for 20 seconds or more with soap and water after each disinfecting routine. Use the proper method of hand washing and cover all exposed skin areas.

We hope this helps! If you would like a quote for having D&A clean and sanitize your office before returning to work, feel free to call us at (407) 831-5388 or complete the form located here.
